Nominated by Barack Obama on March 16, 2011, to a seat vacated by Mary Anne Vial Lemmon. Confirmed by the Senate on October 11, 2011, and received commission on October 12, 2011. 

Scott Sternberg is co-Managing Partner of Sternberg, Naccari & White, where he leads the firm’s operations and relishes a role as counselor to numerous individuals, media outlets, and businesses. Scott’s litigation practice has taken him to courtrooms and conference rooms throughout the country. His has represented businesses large and small and has a particular interest in real-estate related litigation. Scott also has significant experience both bringing and defending a wide breadth of personal injury and contract cases.
